If you are a yoga teacher or student who wants to explore yoga philosophy in greater depth but are not sure how or where to get started, this course is for you. This 4-day intensive is designed to give an overview of important historical and philosophical developments in the theory and practice of yoga from early beginnings to modern expressions. New and experienced students and teachers will benefit from focused study, group discussion, asana and contemplative practice in a light-hearted, honest and collegial environment.

Monday, Feb 8: Foundations: Scriptures and Social Mores that Marched Yoga Up the Mountain (Lecture and Images)
Tuesday, Feb 9: Accelerations: Bhakti, Purana & Tantra: Yoga Flies on New Wings (Lecture and Images)
Wednesday, Feb 10: Interludes: The Link Between the Subtle Body and Samadhi in the Hatha Yoga Pradipika (Book Study. Please bring a copy of the HYP to the training) :
Thursday, Feb 11: Yoga for Activism, Athleticism and Populist Appeal: A New Age of Industry (Lecture and Images).
These talks will be taped for later sale, and though you may not appear in them, a you will kindly be asked to sign an image release form.
