Description:     Yoga’s story is covers 5000 years of saints, warriors, and sage-like kings.  It embraces Tantra, mantra, and God. Dancers, doctors, and bodybuilders remade it in the last 100 years, and yoga now captivates people everywhere.  We’ll tour this vast landscape of concepts, characters, and events, understanding what yoga has been and what it may one day be.

Breakthroughs in Yogic Movement — Choreography in Vinyasa

Description:     People have been creating  yoga poses for thousands of years, but we do not usually think yoga is a creative endeavor.  There are few opportunities to learn what principles apply when creating poses or engineering transitions between them.  This workshop further explains yoga’s effects on our mind and body, and gives the tools necessary to discover physical shapes that are “yogic” and compose pose sequences that are efficient, beautiful and effective.

The Diamond Beauty of the Goddess: The Tale of Tantrik Philosophy

Description:       Tantra is more than sacred sex, it is composed of a wide array of thrilling yoga practices and it reveals a world united and guided by Goddess energy.  In this lecture we explain how physical yoga (Hatha Yoga) came from this tradition.  With full historical accuracy, we’ll link Tantra’s 1,500 year history of deities, philosophies, and practices to the yoga of today.
