Meditation in Movement is the holy grail of Hatha Yoga. We all try to maintain one-pointed concentration throughout a yoga practice.
This is the primary teaching of Vinyasa Yoga’s most recognized authority, K. Pattabhi Jois. Despite that, few authorities teach how Meditation in Motion works.
In this workshop, we “kill two birds with one stone”—we learn how to move and how to meditate. We learn how to engineer meditative focus, ekagrata, in all movement—integrating some elements of Tai Chi and some rarely taught yogic arts. We will learn how to create movement models in the mind and then follow those models with unbroken focus.
Meditation is the key to coping with the challenges of life—or transcending them spiritually. In this workshop, you add this useful skill to your practice–and–if we reach our goal!–to your everyday movement.
