August 4-30, 2014 at The Yoga Barn – Ubud, Bali

The Yoga Barn is happy to offer a 200 hour yoga teacher training program led by master teacher Les Leventhal.  Our program is a great way to develop the skills to teach yoga or to take your personal practice to a deeper level.  Les’ program meets Yoga Alliance requirements for 200 hour teacher training programs and covers anatomy, asana, alignment, pranayama, philosophy, and sequencing.  You will also assist and observe experienced teachers and learn how to look at, assess, and adjust students safely in asana poses.

Studying yoga at a deep and personal level requires a supportive community for what will be an intimate and highly transformative experience.  In our program you will study alongside others students where you’ll share your experiences and findings in an open and like-minded community (satsang).  You will also develop the knowledge and skills to develop your own personal practice (sadhana) that will serve you your entire life.

Train with one of the best Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teachers, Les Leventhal. Les has completed extensive training with Ana Forrest and also trains with Max Strom, Tias Little and Seane Corn. Les teaches classes, workshops and teacher trainings worldwide and will give you all the tools you need to teach a safe and effectively sequenced class to beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. This training will provide everything you need for philosophy, anatomy, wisdom, prenatal, injuries, nutrition, safe hands-on adjustments, ethics, business, chanting and help you to cultivate courage and truth for your own personal practice. Upon completion of this Yoga Alliance Certified 200-hour training you will be ready to teach yoga to all levels and have a greater depth at building a home practice.

namaste_0Yoga with Les is a vinyasa/flow yoga practice. Les is one of San Francisco’s, now living in Ubud, Bali, most popular and sought after teachers around the world. Les’ classes, workshops and video podcasts are filled with all the basic technique and alignment cues you will need to get your yoga practice and teaching started. Les’ studies and ceremonies are steeped in Forrest tradition, having completed Ana Forrest’s teacher training. Les has assisted Ana’s teacher training and studied many additional hours with her. Les has also completed several trainings with Tias Little and has learned much of his alignment and technique cues from Tias, as well as a firm foundation in the 8 fold path of Buddhism which compliments the asana practice with a sense of grace and elegance that allow you to take classes whatever your yoga experience and whatever traditions you have in your own life.

Les pays careful attention to weave in the 8 limbs of yoga and keep the traditional styles and intentions of yoga a part of his classes while making great strides into opening a window into our global cultural shift. Les’ yoga will give you an opportunity to heal your heart and laugh, cry, dance and just let go. Some classes flow freely, while others will explore holding postures a bit longer. Many classes have music. Most of all, is that in Les’ classes, you have an opportunity to modify and do what you need to do in order to take care of your practice and that in learning to take better care of yourself, you can then take better care of those around you and they might then take better care of those around them.
