Eric will teach Yoga History and Yoga Philosophy for Laura Camp’s Flying Yoga Teacher Training Dec. 7, 2013 and Jan. 25, 2014, both 1-4pm.

The FYTT, led by Laura Camp, ERYT – is a wonderful tool whether you’re aspiring to teach, wanting to hone your teaching skills, or if you don’t intend to teach but desire to explore the rich textures of yoga, from the philosophical to the physical. There will be a good balance between theory and practice.

SCHEDULE
We’ll begin the program with an orientation weekend in early December. The following weekend, we’ll have a three-day anatomy immersion at the Flying studio. After the holidays, we’ll trek to Sequoia Retreat Center in Santa Cruz for a three-day immersion (lodging cost included). Starting January 18, we will meet at Flying on weekends –with a 1-day followed by a 3-day weekend schedule pattern.

WEEKEND RETREAT in SANTA CRUZ
The training cost includes a three-day retreat, held the weekend of January 10 at the Sequoia Retreat Center in Santa Cruz. The retreat begins on Friday, January 10 at 10:00 am and ends Sunday, January 12, at 6:00 pm. The retreat includes two nights’ accommodations (triple occupancy) and access to the lovely retreat center grounds. Students will provide their own meals. HOME ASSIGNMENTS
There will be a few reading assignments before the start of the training, and additional reading and exam prep work during the training. We take care to make sure that the workload is reasonable for students with full and busy lives.
PREREQUISITES
We require a minimum of one year of steady, established yoga practice to apply for the training. Feel free to email if you have questions about this requirement. We also require each student to have taken classes with Laura Camp and with other teachers on the faculty to make sure the style and approach is a fit for the student.

Space is very limited to ensure high training quality. You must submit an application and receive approval before submitting a deposit. You may pay on our online schedule / workshops tab via Visa or Mastercard, or with a check or cash in the studio. The cost includes lodging for the retreat, one public yoga class at Flying per week during the training, all lectures and practices, and the course manual.
