One Short Bhakti Poem
I have been reading, The Hindus, An Alternative History by Wendy Doniger. In the chapter on Bhakti, she translates this poem:
People
Male and Female,
blush when
a cloth covering their shame comes loose.
When all the world is the eye of the lord,
onlooking everywhere, what can you
cover and conceal?
by the female poet named Mahadevi,
